PharmaPedia: Journal of Pharmacy and Health Research is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to advancing the frontiers of pharmaceutical sciences and translational health research. Positioned at the intersection of molecular drug design, clinical therapeutics, and public healthcare systems, the journal serves as an authoritative scholarly forum for pharmacists, pharmacologists, medicinal chemists, and biomedical researchers worldwide. PharmaPedia prioritizes macro-level therapeutic conceptualizations, rigorous clinical and laboratory-based empirical investigations, and innovative pharmaceutical paradigms that address global health challenges. By bridging the gap between basic pharmaceutical chemistry, biomanufacturing, and clinical patient outcomes, the journal fosters a comprehensive understanding of drug mechanism, therapeutic efficacy, and healthcare optimization.

Scope and Topics

The journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, critical reviews, and conceptual papers that offer significant contributions to the following thematic areas:

  • Pharmaceutics & Drug Delivery Systems: Novel drug delivery systems (NDDS), nanotechnology in therapeutics, biopharmaceutics, physical pharmacy, industrial manufacturing, and formulation optimization.

  • Pharmacology, Toxicology & Clinical Pharmacy: Pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, molecular pharmacology, toxicological screenings, rational drug use, pharmacovigilance, and patient-centered clinical pharmacy services.

  • Medicinal Chemistry & Pharmacognosy: Drug discovery and design, synthesis of bioactive compounds, computational chemistry, phytochemistry, herbal medicine evaluation, and natural product research.

  • Pharmaceutical Biotechnology & Genomics: Biopharmaceuticals, gene therapy, recombinant DNA technology, pharmacogenomics, and molecular diagnostics.

  • Social & Administrative Pharmacy: Public health pharmacy, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacy management, regulatory affairs, digital health tools, and pharmaceutical policy analysis.

Publication Frequency

To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and timely dissemination of cutting-edge pharmaceutical findings, PharmaPedia is published semi-annually (2 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in June and December). Special thematic issues focusing on emerging epidemiological trends or breakthroughs in drug discovery may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process

PharmaPedia enforces a strict double-blind peer review policy to maintain the highest standards of scientific integrity and technical validity.

  1. Initial Desk Evaluation: Every submission undergoes a preliminary screening by the Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor to assess thematic alignment, ethical compliance (including human/animal ethics approvals), and structural integrity. Plagiarism screening via Turnitin/iThenticate is strictly executed at this stage, requiring a similarity index below the journal's maximum threshold.

  2. Expert Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the desk evaluation are anonymized and assigned to at least two independent international reviewers who are established experts in the specific domain of pharmaceutical sciences.

  3. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editorial Board renders one of four decisions: Acceptance, Revisions Required (Minor/Major), Resubmit for Review, or Rejection. The final decision rests entirely on the intellectual merit, methodological rigor, and health sector relevance of the work.

Mission Statement

The mission of PharmaPedia is to deconstruct the complexities of pharmaceutical development and optimize health research pathways within an increasingly complex global landscape. Grounded in the philosophy that secure, innovative, and accessible pharmaceutical science is a vital anchor for global health equity and human longevity, the journal aims to democratize pharmaceutical knowledge by providing an unrestricted, high-impact platform for global scholarly dialogue. Through the promotion of diverse and robust methodological approaches—ranging from molecular simulations to randomized clinical trials—PharmaPedia seeks to empower healthcare providers, inspire industrial developers, and shape evidence-based regulatory policies worldwide.
