The journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, critical reviews, and conceptual papers that offer significant contributions to the following thematic areas:

  • Public Administration Theory & Practice: Evolution of administrative paradigms, public management reform, bureaucracy studies, state capacity, and the professionalization of the civil service.

  • Digital Governance & Smart Government: E-governance frameworks, artificial intelligence in public decision-making, open data initiatives, digital statecraft, and cybersecurity policies in public sectors.

  • Public Policy Analysis & Evaluation: Policy formulation, policy implementation instruments, comparative public policy, public sector budget and fiscal policy, and macro-level program evaluation.

  • Local Governance & Decentralization: Fiscal federalism, regional autonomy, local public service delivery models, urban-rural governance networks, and community-driven development.

  • Ethics, Accountability & Integrity: Anti-corruption mechanisms, transparency in public sectors, administrative law, public values, and democratic accountability.

Publication Frequency

To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and timely dissemination of cutting-edge research, PublicPedia is published semi-annually (2 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in June and December). Special thematic issues targeting critical governance disruptions, global public crises, or emerging public management paradigms may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process

PublicPedia enforces a strict double-blind peer review policy to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity and objectivity.

  1. Initial Desk Evaluation: Every submission undergoes a preliminary screening by the Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor to assess thematic alignment, methodological validity, and structural integrity. Plagiarism screening (via Turnitin/iThenticate) is strictly executed at this stage, requiring a similarity index below the journal's maximum threshold.

  2. Expert Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the desk evaluation are anonymized and assigned to at least two independent international reviewers who are established experts in the specific domain of governance and public administration.

  3. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editorial Board renders one of four decisions: Acceptance, Revisions Required (Minor/Major), Resubmit for Review, or Rejection. The final decision rests entirely on the academic merit, theoretical novelty, and institutional relevance of the work.

Grounded in the philosophy that public administration is a vital instrument for democratic resilience, social justice, and institutional efficacy, the journal aims to democratize administrative knowledge by providing an unrestricted, high-impact platform for global scholarly dialogue. Through the promotion of diverse methodological approaches—encompassing qualitative institutional analysis, quantitative econometrics, and comparative state studies—PublicPedia seeks to empower public administrators, inspire evidence-based policy design, and shape future-proof governance models.

Peer Review Process To guarantee the highest level of scholarly rigor and ethical integrity, every submitted manuscript undergoes a strict double-blind peer review process. Independent expert reviewers in specific domains of psychology and counseling evaluate submissions based on their conceptual originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance (including participant anonymity and informed consent), and practical clinical significance. The identities of both the authors and the reviewers remain completely confidential throughout the evaluation process to ensure absolute objectivity.
